Twist on Tradition

With three children, my clients were bursting at the seams in their NYC apartment. They were determined to find more space in a bucolic setting. What they found was a designer’s dream! My firm was charged with renovating the kitchen, bathrooms and redecorating the whole house.

The house, built in 1860, has amazing bones; high ceilings, beautiful original moldings, and lots of charm.

A mix of vintage and contemporary furnishings exudes sophistication and elegance.

A renovated bathroom balances the home’s traditional charm with the comforts of contemporary life.

One of the highlights is the unique hand painted tree and bird vignette on the dining room walls. Shades of blue dominate the color palette throughout the house. This is a twist on traditional design that is fresh with a fun edge. See more of the home here
