A Central Park West Renovation

ERA had the opportunity to renovate an apartment in one of Central Park West’s most quintessential Art Deco pre-war buildings. Architectural elements pay homage to the original details and ensure that the new design is timeless and fresh.

The entrance foyer has a unique riveted wallpaper that creates a linear horizontal stripe on the walls. The pendants are custom designed with blown glass and bronze.

The airy living room incorporates two seating areas and balances color with soft shapes and textures. It is intended to feel peaceful and be functional. The asymmetrical vintage Angelo Lelli pendant adorns the room and feels like a piece of jewelry.

The French elm dining room paneling is a modern interpretation of a traditional design that evokes the art deco aesthetic. The dining room and kitchen are separated by stunning steel and glass doors that were inspired by the building’s original casement exterior windows.

The modern white Boffi kitchen has been thoughtfully designed for the client who is an accomplished cook. The white lacquer cabinetry is complemented by White Macaubas marble which contrasts with the dark wood herringbone floors.
