With children grown and desiring a fresh start, our client wanted not only a modern home but one that also captured the grand, old world sophistication of pre-war apartment living in New York. The home she chose is nestled right along the Hudson River, with open views of Riverside Park. We paired soft tones and textures with clean lined furnishings for a space that is elegant, yet unpretentious.
Luxurious details to draw you into the space. The foyer’s hand painted wallpaper lends a soft iridescence that catches the light. In the living room, an asymmetrical, marble-topped coffee table begs to be admired from all angles. The supple wool drapery, with a contrasting blue edge, frames the enviable views.
The master suite is a picture of serenity. Gray textures layered on top of one another to create a quiet respite. The custom cabinetry is in cerused oak and lacquer, offering closed storage and a space to display some favorite items. There’s so much more to this apartment — see the whole project here
